Kids Zone

Our popular Kids Zone is back and will be located at the triangle in front of First Methodist Church. Enjoy FREE art activities designed for participation by children of all abilities!

KIDS COLLECT

Kids Collect is a kids-only tent, where young art collectors can purchase artwork donated by exhibiting artists at a nominal price. We hope to encourage kids to develop their own appreciation for art by collecting artworks they enjoy. Proceeds from this tent will support our Education Department’s Summer Camp Scholarships. We love to see kids supporting kids!

Polk District Exceptional Student Education

The mission of the ESE program is to provide, support and champion arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. Our vision is to create a world in which the arts are universally accessible.

This annual exhibition, held on the library lawn during Mayfaire, features work from the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program of Polk County. This program is for gifted students and students with emotional, physical or cognitive challenges who are enrolled in Polk County Schools. Selected works from this exhibit will go on to be exhibited in Polk Museum of Art's student gallery to represent a wide variety of media and techniques.

Kids Tag Art

Kids Tag Art is a school fundraising project originating in Polk County that inspires fifth grade art students to design their own specialty plate art, learning the practical application of license plate art to support worthy causes, fashioned after Florida's 100+ specialty license plates.

Kids Tag Art is included in most elementary school curriculums across Polk County, creating thousands of unique designs, and as a result, instrumental in raising needed funds for classroom art supplies.
